Illegals in The United States
Hi, Joy here,I don't know about the rest of you but I am fed up with The Illegals taking over our Country.For some reason we are caving in to this serious threat-from the President down to us.They take our jobs,are closing hospitals with the free care and ruining our schools.Why should we have to learn Spanish?Why do we have to dial 1 for english when making a phone call?Why have our Officals voted against English being this countries offical language?What are we going to do?

guess you have all heard about the proposed Immigration bill.It sounds like a bunch of crap to me.They keep saying we need all those mexican workers because they do work no one else will.When did it happen that americans won't do construction work,cooking,Grounds keeper and more.People are losing out.This bill will keep our workers out of work.Please contact your Senators.

Your friends will be able to go to your blog, with a click of their mouse, (right)..they don't need to have a username or password, as long as you set (in the "Settings") that the blog is open to anyone.

This is a very touchy & controversial issue, but I respect your viewpoint. The fear, that you express, is valid, but I think that the borders, being used as a drug-run, or terrorist crossing, is far more pressing an issue.
(Keep writing. You'll stir a lot of people, but I think you'll also make them think, and that's certainly something lacking these days)

Recently I was in the SS office in Ocala trying to find out the status of my disability claim. It was apparent that other than the employees, I was one of the few people in the building who spoke English as a first language. I resent the fact that it has taken more than a year for my claim to be approved and these people waltz across the border and immediately get benefits that I have to wait for. The interviewer told me it would be two years before I qualify for Medicare. If I was an illegal alien applying for SS, I would get medical benefits in 90 days and Medicaid in the meantime to cover the gap. Because of the amount of money I receive on my disability and the fact my wife receives SS, I "make too much money" to qualify for Medicaid. I was also told that most illegals applying for benefits receive and average of $2,200 a month if they have two children. What's wrong with this picture? Where is the incentive to work and at least become a legal immigrant? I say, "Mexican't." Deport them
Addendum: BTW, I was born to American parents and shortly after my birth, I was taken to Germany where my father was stationed after WWII. I returned to this country speaking German, Polish, French and Yiddish. English was actually a fifth language and I would substitute foreign words for English when I couldn't find a word in English for what I wanted to say. However, I LEARNED my NATIVE language. These OTHER people do not want to learn because WE bend to their wishes. Schools cater to students who do not speak English instead of teaching those students our language. Go to stores and see how many products are packaged in multi-lingual boxes. It goes on and on. How many asses is this government going to kiss to appease people who shouldn't be here in the first place? America is no longer a 'melting pot.' It has become a northern province of Mexico.

Mostly true...however, Mexicans around here are about the only ones that can be hired to do the farm work.
